The Saltley city is one of the inner ward areas in Birmingham, England, lying on the eastern part of the city. This inner-city was previously a part of Nechells ward and is part of Washwood Health’s ward and the city’s Ladywood Constituency. Regionally, Saltley lies within the West Midlands of the metropolitan borough, Birmingham.

Saltley is famous for its high-levels of business, having outlets in very populated areas. This inner-city of Birmingham starts at Saltley Viaduct, and residents mark it with the known Saltley Gate. It is a local population landmark by the entrance zone to the Alum Rock and Washwood Health’s Road.

From the 1950s to the 1960s, the older houses went to the Nations of Commonwealth immigrants (majorly from Bangladesh and Pakistan). Over time, these immigrants have built a solid and firm ethnic community in this ward. Saltley is now home to many terraced houses and new projects and the Christin and Muslim worship places.

In Saltley, there lies a large number of schools and the college of St. Peters. Although the site of St. Peters isn’t a college location anymore, it functions currently as a sheltering house and business offices. Some recreational areas in the city are the Domestic Park and the park of the Wheel’s Adventure.

This inner-city, Saltley, gets public transportation from Adderley Park functioning railway station. It lies on the New Street in Birmingham to the Coventry Railway and about a mile in Duddeston by road. All bus routes to the city include the 14, 94, 8A/8C, and 55.
