Springfield city is a small ward in the southern, eastern part of Birmingham, England. This area’s creation took place in 2004, taking land area mostly from the old ward of Sparkhill. Springfield comes from the former Hall Green district. According to the 2011 conducted census, Springfield has an estimated population rate of about 31,391 residents.

One prominent place of public interest is Sparkhill’s library, having its conspicuous clock tower on its local landmark. In the 1900s, this library building was set-up as a council house in Yardley district.  By the 19th of January 1923, the building became the public library of Springfield, and its opening took place. This building was a significant example of many other public constructions needing windows double glazed.

The church of St. John is an Anglican parish in the Northern Springfield ward. Springfield has three labour council representatives in Birmingham City. They go by the names of Reagan ur Habib, Hussain Shabrana, and Fazal Mohammad.

The location of Springfield lies within the Western-Midlands of England. It has an area density of 69.3/ha, and its geographic coordinates are 52.4314°N 1.8595°W. Springfield is under the sovereign government of the United Kingdom with an OS grid reference number of SP095815. Initially, Birmingham was from the ward of Old Sparkhill.

The Springfield railway station, Spring Road, lies within the boundary of its ward for transportation across the city and is on the Hill-Stratford Birmingham Snow line. It operates the numbers 6, 5, 3, 31, and 2 bus routes while going back and forth through Birmingham City.
